An angel investor supports a venture in its early stages, often before it has achieved proven success. The term originated in the Broadway theater scene, where private individuals backed productions that lacked traditional financing. The concept was later adapted for the startup world and formalized by researcher William Wetzel.
KRIYA ANGELS
KRIYA ANGELS begins as an art-led studio project inspired by the enduring idea of the angel across patronage, entrepreneurship, mythology, and contemporary culture. Launching its first edition in 2026, it will present angel-themed artworks, stories, and curated profiles honoring angel investors, cultural leaders, and impact-driven individuals whose support helps meaningful ideas come to life.
The project is also designed to build its own creative IP and sustainable revenue through artworks, exhibitions, editions, and related cultural ventures, allowing it to grow with greater independence over time.
From 2027 onward, KRIYA ANGELS is intended to evolve into a boutique art-backed angel network focused on selected early-stage opportunities in culture-tech, entertainment-tech, IP-led ventures, commerce, and impact-driven sectors. Its larger purpose is to identify, support, and help shape exceptional ventures with conviction, trust, and imagination.

Each edition of KRIYA ANGELS is built around a distinct cause, theme, or cultural context. The first edition is centered on biodiversity and the living world, portraying remarkable individuals within visually rich settings inspired by wildlife, nature, and ecological beauty.
