Patronage Reimagined
A portrait-led global initiative shaped by art, visibility, and meaningful participation
KRIYA ANGELS
KRIYA ANGELS is a contemporary art series and cultural platform created to honor and celebrate people who support creativity, culture, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and future-facing impact. Through portrait-led artworks and curated annual editions, it creates cultural recognition around meaningful support, public visibility, and the power of patronage in shaping a better future.
The idea of the “angel” first emerged in the world of Broadway theatre, where patrons helped bold creative work reach the stage, long before the modern business term “angel investor” was coined in 1978. KRIYA ANGELS reinterprets that original spirit for the present day by celebrating those who actively support imagination, cultural value, entrepreneurship, and positive impact.
Developed by artist Manohar Chiluveru and Kriya Art House, the platform begins as an artist-studio-led global initiative. Each edition is built around a distinct cause, theme, or cultural context, with the first edition centered on biodiversity and the living world. In the years ahead, KRIYA ANGELS is intended to evolve into a new global art-backed angel network rooted in culture, patronage, and meaningful support.

KRIYA ANGELS exists to celebrate people who support creativity, culture, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and future-facing impact, while building a global platform where art, patronage, and meaningful participation can help shape a better future.
